Other winnersGrant Clarke, Pat Kanczuzewski and Bill McClary win the closest to the pins today.  David Tartaglio wins $23 for his 23’4” long putt.  Gary Campuzano’s bird on # 8 wins him a net skin (Chavez thanks you for not getting in gross skins) and his double pop par on # 10 also gives him his 2nd  net skin.

Birch Hills Cup: Jim Mansfield & JP David earn 15 points for their 8 under par net (62) today moving Mansfield into first place and JP to 9th.   The Top 12 point leaders will make the Birch Hills Match Play team and play David L. Baker in September.  There is still time to pay your $10 for the regular season to earn points.  All those who pay the $10 qualify to get in the playoffs and a chance at $500 that will be in the pot by then.

SCGA Away Net Rankings:  Our Men’s Club pays for 2 players every year.  This year the 1 player with the best 4 away net scores will represent our club and pick this partner.  You must play in at least 4 away tournament (and have an index of 18.4 or lower to qualify).  The last away tournament to qualify for this event is in July at Dad Miller.  There is no extra cost to get in this.  Jim Mansfield keeps track of all away net scores.   As of now Jim Mansfield has the lead -22 (4 best scores) Jason Bouzos, Mark Hardin and Fermin Andres are tied for 2nd with -12 and Clinton Cox is in 5th place with -7.  The more away tournament you play the better chance you have.  You can throw out your bad rounds and keep your best 4.
