President Cup Final Highlights

Ray Coats shoots back to back net 54’s to win the 2017 Presidents cup with a 2-week total of 108.   Ray also finished first place gross in the B Flight with a gross 68 and his birdies on # 3 & # 18 gives him a double dip gross and net skin.  His grand total today $293.00.   Jim Hardin shot the low net of the day (51) taking 2nd place with a 2-week total of 110 net.  Jim also wins first place gross in the C flight with a gross 71 and a net skin for his bird on # 12.  Jim Mansfield shot the low gross of the day even par 59 finishing 3rd place for the Presidents cup with a 2-week total 115.  Jim wins first gross in the A flight, closest to the pin on # 5 and tied for 3rd low putts.  Jeff Joyce shot a net 58 giving him the 4th place finish and a 2nd net in the B flight.  Javier Chavez shot 1 over today but his net 56 gives him a first-place net in the A flight and a 3-way tie for 5th place in the Presidents cup with Mike Goldberg and Mike Santuci.    Dan La Rue, Bob Malachowski & Cliff Adams all tied for 8th place and manage to take home some President cup money.  La Rue’s even par net wins him a 2nd place in the C flight and his bird on # 15 wins him a net skin.  Malachowski’s net 62 wins him a 3rd place in the B flight.  Adams with 2 zero putts today ties for 3rd place low putts with Caprez.    Other winners were Keith Medina 2nd place gross in the A flight (64), Closest to the pin # 11, Long Drive- 270 Yards on # 13 and a gross skin for his birdie on # 17.   Clinton Cox wins the other closest to the pin award, which was on # 16, why he flipped the paper over and wrote it on the back that said hole # 12 I’m not sure?   Grant Clarke was the only player that could make a putt over 5 foot on # 6 so his 5’ 8” putt wins him long putt of the day.   Fermin Andres finds the end of the fairway on the right side of # 13 to win senior long drive.  Pat O’Brien wins low putts today with 28 (even though we had to add them up for him) and 1 of those putts gave him a birdie on # 8 and a net skin.   Bob Lopez had 29 putts and takes 2nd place low putts.   New Member Dan Carpenter finally got enough score cards in to give him a handicap and he use every bit of that handicap today to win first place net in the C flight and his birdie on # 5 wins him a net skin…welcome to the club and the money list!
